Blame F. King and Alleva not O

Ill keep this simple as I know it's best for all parties. Whether you are Pro O or No O, please keep an open mind.
!) It's clear the administration had no clear plan once firing Miles - Big mistake, but almost all of us can agree that a change was necessary. F. King and money men pushed a successful PR campaign to save money on firing Miles last year.
2) I think we can all agree Orgeron was the best interim choice to finish out the season with his experience, but more importantly to keep our current elite recruiting board in tact.
3) There was no great plan in place. We went after our top 2 guys, and negotiations aside, I don't believe we could have convinced Jimbo or Herman to be here.
4) With no real other options lined up Orgeron was the only real solution. An angle no one has discussed - While Tigerdroppings may be in a virtual concensus that Orgeron is a poor consolation prize hire, many in state DO NOT.
5) Had we skipped over Orgeron, and hired a second tier (uninspired stretch) hire, we would have alienated local recruits and high school coaches, who (after Jimbo and Herman) would have argued in favor of giving O a shot.
6) Save money on Orgeron and have safety measures in place, so that if he fails, we can survive and strike first when better options become available with a full cupboard at our disposal (money and recruits). Recruits, former players, and instate coaches bridges arent burned because though we missed in our slam dunk targets, we still gave O a fair shake.
7) If O fails, we will have the money to secure a new option with a stacked deck, and with the backbone of our recruiting base not alienated.
F. King screwed Alleva last year, Alleva screwed the search this year, and the chips didnt fall our way with our only other 2 viable options.
While this isnt what anyone had expected or originally hoped for, it is the most logical stop gap. When F. King and Alleva screwed us, this is the best way to ensure we are within striking distance in the immediate future.
We should hold F. King responsible for last year, and Alleva responsible for this years search. Let's do what we can to make changes in leadership at the top, or it wont matter who we hire, we will fail.
In the meantime, lets support LSU and Coach O. If he fails, at least we can claim we gave our local hero a shot and are loyal to our own while still being within striking distance of our ultimate goals armed with extra spending money and a stacked roster.

Don't agree with a few of your points. It's clear that LSU isn't seeking a championship or success for the football program. They refused to spend money to obtain a coach who is better than O. It isn't just incompetence, it's complete apathy.
As a dear Vol fan would say: LSU is done, it's over.
ETA: forgot to mention
This is the dumbest fricking thing I've ever seen.

I dont disagree with that. More simply put, instead of lamenting Coach O, we need to move to change leadership at the top. The boosters were willing to take the risk, F. King and Alleva screwed it up, and we will not recover until we change leadership top, down...

I can't believe you thought you should type this out. Thanks for wasting my time Bob.

4) F. King, then Alleva
5) We need to change leadership is the point being made, not that it was a good hire

Its obvious to those responding that you didnt finish reading the rest of my post, but like this generation feel its necessary to give an incomplete opinion.
I am not trying to justify the hire. Just trying to place the blame at the feet of our leadership, F. King and Alleva, not Orgeron. Being upset at Orgeron wont influence the future, changing leadership will.

Nothing will change the leadership. The culture of austerity is already settling in.
I'm down for straight up tar and feathering King and Alleva though.

O is the safe hire. Safe bc he's popular local guy.
If Miles had been fired last year, I wonder who Alleva had in mind?

Good question, Fuente was available, but honestly, none of us should trust Alleva at this point. If he stays in power, it is because we are all arguing whether or not to support O instead of head hunting. We need great leadership, as this isnt a democracy, and none of us had a say in candidate lists, search firms, salaries, strategies, or coach selection. Our leaders failed us, and this has become a trend. Will we fight amongst ourselves, or stand together and hold the administration accountable.
Hopefully the latter, and cooler heads prevail. Thats all I was trying to express, and it was totally lost on everyone
