I like the logic/reasoning in this article, but I do think it may be a bit SEC-biased. I do think Lincoln Riley will quickly energize that fanbase and get USC going in the right direction really soon.
I do agree with the overall conclusion though that Kelly wins a title before Riley.

Riley isn’t winning one at USC. He went there specifically so he can keep being the king of the pussies and winning 12 games a year then getting wrecked by teams who are battle tested in the playoffs. And he’ll get paid very well to do it

USC appears serious about contending given the money they are putting out but it takes more than money to right a ship like that. Just look at UT football.
Not saying Riley can’t do it, he certainly can. But he’s going to have to reshape the entire athletic department into stepping in the same direction, and that’s a harder challenge than taking over for Stoops
