Billy Napier intentional safety up 5

Napier is a good coach and program builder but every time I hear his name I can’t stop remembering this play. Took an intentional safety up 5 and made it a 3 point game with 1:46 seconds left. App State ended up getting in field goal range to then tie the game after the Lafayette safety punt but missed the field goal.

His long snapper snapped the ball over the head of the punter like 3 times in that game.

It doesn’t make sense without context and even then it’s hard to justify but they still somehow won even with all of those special team errors.

Right. I watched this game and it was crazy how bad their snapping was. Given the circumstances, I don't blame Napier for doing what he did.

How bad would it have been if the long snapper sailed a fourth one and App St. recovered it for a touchdown to win?
