Billy Laird out at Ruston HS....

Was there for 8 seasons and was 61-42. Will stay on as AD.

He was really good here in Nashville, AR prior to heading to Ruston.

I thought he was going to be the guy to turn it around in Ruston but that just never really happened, although they went to the quarterfinals twice.
They haven't beaten West Monroe in about 20 years, which has to be a big deal to a program that used to dominate West Monroe.
John Carr(Ouachita), Bo Meeks(Airline), and Chris Gaitlin(RHS offensive coordinator) are probably going to be interested in the job.

It will go to Meeks before Carr. I actually don't see Carr leaving Ouachita voluntarily. Meeks is an alumni, young and has done a good job with the Airline program.

They could stay in house and bump Gattlin up. I know Carr isn't AD at Ouachita but for him to move he might want that title where as Gattlin or Meeks may be happy with the HC title alone. I would also look at the possibility of one of the WM assistants putting their name in the hat.

They could but don't see any of them getting it.
I wonder if Bo Barton will throw his name in. He's over at Caldwell now.

Carr is hanging by a thread at ophs...lot of angry parents reason he is still there is that he is friends with right people at school

I agree. Guice wasn't very happy after the loss in the playoffs. They would probably put Foster in as HC for the same reasons that Carr is still there. This is assuming he leaves.

Perhaps RHS is due for a house cleaning. Seems like they have a lot of guys on staff that have been there since Reeder.

I don't think anyone claimed "inside" knowledge. From what I see everyone is throwing out different scenarios. I don't see where anyone said they were stating facts.

I know you didn't. Sorry I didn't mean to imply you did. I'm just around school everyday. I hadn't heard some of this stuff. Now, Carr could certainly return home. Ruston has made no bones about it that he is their first choice. We should know shortly how much and what they will offer.
