Alternatively, what happens if you hire the best available OC and Nuss lights it up?
My point is, LSU should hire the best available OC and not just promote because of one potential recruit.
What is Kelly thinks Sloan is the best available and it has nothing to do with Underwood?

The good news is that we know that Kelly won't make a decision without a sound rationale.

Go back to your pay site. That post should be good for a few free months. That’s about what those pay site prognostications are worth.

If you promote Sloan to OC and he bombs next yr and you’re forced to make a change you lose Underwood anyway.
I think the safest play is to give Sloan a pay increase with another title and bring in a proven OC that’s currently not on staff.
Sloan may be a great OC one day but due to his inexperience and since he’s never called plays you can’t put him in the OC position.
If you do and it goes bad you’re setting the program back yrs.
Have to bring someone in who has skins on the wall

I usually hate the co-anything title, but I feel like this would work for us in this scenario. Let’s see how Sloan/Hankton coach the bowl game (very small sample size I know). Go get an older proven OC to run CBK’s offense giving more control to Sloan as is warranted in a co-OC role. Thats my best guess…which when paired with 20 bucks will get u a coffee at Starbucks.

That’s right. Sacrifice a season or three for one recruit that isn’t even signed yet.
You people are insane.
Sloan put up Jake Peetz numbers in his lone year as OC at a CUSA school. Sloans was a tad better, but it wasn’t by much.

Why would I be on any paysites when I could just wait for wannabe insiders like OP to run here with whatever is posted there so they can look important to anonymous strangers on the internet?
