Petrino is a back-stabbing piece of crap who needs to do everything he can to make AK a winner to repair his sullied reputation.

Arkansas is dumb for hiring petrino and the media blasted arkansas/petrino last year.

This year Auburn contacts petrino and I don't hear the media blasting auburn for contacting petrino.

He left the NFL for good reasons. He's not going to leave to take a step down at Auburn... and yes, right now with the starters we return, etc.... Auburn would be a step down.
I'm sorry, but just because you have starters coming back doesn't make Auburn a step down. The Auburn program is a step up from the Arkansas program. Take off your red & white glasses dude!

I'm not a dude... but tell me why it is? I see them on even ground when all is said and done.

Arkansas can beat them dollar for dollar and it's the only program in the state.

Gimme some reasons...

the only reason Auburn is considered the better program is because of overall winning percentage.

Well Auburn just fired a guy that went 13-0 4 years ago....that is insane. The guy has one bad year and he gets canned. Keep that up and Arkansas will catch AU before too much longer

Exactly... you don't think people see that? And sorry, but Saban is a factor. They also have more talent in their state but we are doing fine on our own with recruiting right now.

I don't think Arkansas is as far behind Auburn as people try to make it out to be.

Can someone post the auburn/arkansas record the last 10 years.

Its pretty even. 5-5 I think but I don't feel like doing the research.

Yeah that could be the case but noncompete clauses never really hold water.

Unless it is reasonable and for consideration.

You know he is well paid and I am sure they tied some of his compensation to the clause. Also, restrictinga guy from not seeking employment from 5 other schools if probably reasonable.

He could still leave, Arky would just not have to pay a buyout and it would probably increase the cost of breaking the contract.

So, you would take auburns team next year with a new coach over an arkansas team that returns 19 starters?
