Believing LSU will win just because it's LSU, no matter who's at HC. It seems there's a lack of historical perspective about where LSU was as a football program not long ago and how it took great fortune and a leader with vision (Emmett) to get LSU to a national power program.
And the lack of foresight to realize $6m for a top coach will likely be a bargain in 3 years. I'm assuming they viewed Herman as a top coach if they were ready to hire him.
