Is this supposed to be a good thing? Admittedly, I know nothing about Odom’s background. An impressive resume as a DC would be very relevant. I’m not sure why having multiple, failed ex-head coaches adds anything to your program.

Both have been excellent at the respective positions prior to trying HC positions. They know the grind of being a HC and can advise what they did wrong/right etc and handle their positions with authority.
It really isn't rocket surgery here brah.
Odom was great at defense and having a successful HC from a jr college on staff as a position coach? We need some Jr. College recruiting too Brah! C'mon now... takeoff the peeky blinders!

Don’t take this as a shot at Arkansas. I think Briles was a great hire. My point was that being a former head coach isn’t much of an asset if your job is coordinator / position coach. When LSU hired O as D-line coach/recruiting coordinator, his head coaching experience had nothing to do with it.
