Everyone says he would be a great HC. Based on what?
Dude's a mad scientist. You think he wants to do all the political gaming that goes along with being a HC?
Maybe he will be a great HC, but to date (and it's only been a year) I've seen nothing that indicates that.

That's extremely wishful thinking and a weird assumption to make
90 percent of the coaches (especially the young and talented ones) aim to be head coaches one day. It's the top of their profession. The Chavis's and Bud Fosters of the world are extremely rare. It's simple math and logic to assume that he wants to be a HC one day, and yeah there's usually a good correlation from being a great coordinator to being good at being a HC, and yes I think he would be great at it when he is given his shot.

I'm under no assumptions that he's going to be LSU DC forever. I see an NFL DC role in the very near future for him.
And I agree that most coordinators want to be a head coach. But look how many make the leap and wash out. I think it's been proven, especially the last 10 yeas, that you need a different skill set to be a HC.

....and go right back to being a coordinator and get millions of dollars for their trouble

Andvtheres no way to know if they do or not until they try it

STOP please! First of all why do some of you geniuses think he will be a Great head coach? He doesn't like to talk in public, has no offense background, isn't much as a recruiter. He is a Great defensive mind, that's it!I think some of you want him to go somewhere else just to hope Coach O fails which is sad and stop pretending to be an LSU fan!

All the snow would melt the moment aranda got off the plane. That being said he's not going anywhere

The dude signs an extension and 3 weeks later we're already looking for his new job.
I do not understand some of you people.. are you that desperate to start a new worthless thread???
