Aranda as a HC

I've seen a lot of people say how they only want to hire a new HC if he'd be willing to keep Aranda. You people do realize that Aranda is going to be considered by some schools for vacant HC jobs after this season, right? That's the problem with hiring top-tier assistants -- they usually move on to bigger and better things.

Are you basing this solely on our defensive results? Or do you know he actually wants to be a HC and that he's HC material?
I'm asking because while he's a great DC, I don't think people understand that he's not necessarily the guy you want to be the face of the program. Have you seen interviews with him? Have you seen his plan for running a program?
You realize how much he makes? It's not like he makes position coach money and would go to UTSA for less money. Only a power 5 school would pay him more than he makes at LSU as a DC.

Yes. LSU should most certainly go against what most of the top programs have done and hire a DC with no HC experience. That's an amazing idea!
Seriously though... he doesn't even want to be a head coach yet. He's smart enough to know he has to refine his skill-set. That's why he's so successful at what he does.

Some of you obviously didn't read my OP. Nowhere did I insinuate that LSU should hire him as HC. What I said is that there are other programs who will likely come calling, because he's a hot name right now.
