GCS is just trying to argue. There is no doubt this is a GREAT hire for LSU. Recruiting is over half the battle in collge football. If you don't get players, you don't win. Elite players help get you NCs as well. There is a reason that TWO GREAT PROGRAMS wanted this guy.
AND GCS, he was very successful @ SC. He was so successful that he received a head coaching job from his success as a D-LINE Coach. Chavis runs the defense. Coach O coaches the DL. This is not a clash of egos. They both know their roles. And guess what? They both have the same boss. His name is Coach Les Miles! He makes $3.75MM and he runs the show. They know that and he will not tolerate any sort of insubordination of the staff. Reference not hiring Tenuta & firing his buddies if you need proof. Coach O is not applying for the DC job. I love how people can take something so positive for the program and spin it.

His initial argument O is a bad hire because he wasn't good at ole miss as a headcoach and he didn't make the saints DL incredible in one season (never mind the shite ton of injuries) then he backs that up with a wiki link

A DC makes a DL coach. If you have a good DC the DL coach will get credit for being good but take that same DL coach and put him under a shitty DC and he will not be that great. Agree or disagree?
