What are the chances we could eventually get him on staff as the DL coach? He's extremely smart, has great work ethic and has had tremendous success in all levels(all SEC, and 2 Super Bowl Rings). He does camps here in North La and is a great guy and leader. He's out of the league this year with lingering injury issues and this just seems to be the next logical step for him in my opinion. I know I'm biased as a childhood friend, but what do you guys think?

bring him on as an asst strength coach in title for a couple years to help coach learn the ropes of recruiting etc and then set him loose.

Booger is one of my all-time favorites. Has he retired from the NFL, or does he think he can catch on this spring? Is he coaching right now (presumably HS, if so)?

My assumption is that he would have to catch on as a GA at LSU, or take a (likely DL) position coach position at Louisiana Tech, ULM, Northwestern, or a JUCO, then work his way up.

What is his relationship with Miles, as Booger's playing days even predated Saban?

I think this is a great idea. Call him and tell him to contact Les because the people of tigerdroppings want him on the staff.

I think if he was looking for a job we could at least give him Asst S&C or something like that. Hes an LSU great, afterall.

i've actually lost that connection and only see him rarely, but he loves LSU and the state and think that if the idea hasn't hit the powers that be at LSU yet, maybe it could be brought to their attention. After seeing the Pete Jenkins thread it has me thinking, like some mentioned, that the best idea is to bring him on as an assistant strength coach an tutor under Pete, until Pete retires for good, which probably wouldn't be that long...of course this is in an ideal world, but hey, you never know ...maybe this idea could reach someone who can do something with it
