Anbody hear Chris Landry talking about the Hoke hire

Landry said he was one of Lloyd Carr's good friends, and that Hoke was who Carr wanted all along. Pumped Hoke up pretty good, said he was the best choice and everybody would love him in 5 years. Nothing new there. Then he said Patterson was very interested in the UM job, but UM wasn't interested in him because he wasn't a "Michigan Man". Seriously? If that's the case, Dave Brandon and the Lloyd Carr mafia are dumber than I thought.

Patterson would have been safer than Hoke
Hoke will get his shot, he may prove himself but I would take Patterson here in a heartbeat, I was really impressed with his defense in Rose Bowl against a pretty stout Wisconsin team.
TCU defense has been good over a long period of time
