Am i seriously the only person who thinks that Bret Bielema was a great hire?

Arkansas, you did much better with this hire than.had you gotten some of the other names.that were mentioned.

Not a bad hire, but Hilarious that they we're so sure it was gonna be Petersen, Patterson, or Gundy that they trolled themselves

I think it was a great hire too. I can't believe he left Wisconsin.

Yeah, he will need to get a staff that's familiar with the SEC, that's for sure.
Wisky had a down year this year, but year in and year out, they are one of the top teams in the nation.

He inherited a 10 win team and kept them stagnant in the worst big 10 league in the history of the big 10, and he can't recruit. No ties to the south or Texas either. He also will have to build the offense from the ground up, which seems impossible due to his recruiting abilities...
He might be a good coach but this just seems like a terrible fit.

Jeff Long had everyone fooled with this hire...and I mean everyone. I really didn't know that much about him before today but he appears to be a really good hire. Thanks for all the positive input.

i like the hire. in the numerous "who would you hire if les was gone".. chryst/bielema were mentioned numerous times in the past few years.

I'm convinced most of the reason he's been trashed is just anti-Arkansas shite. 3 days ago, if you'd asked anyone if Bielema was a good coach, they'd say hell yeah.

I am not sure if the hire was great but the claims that Bielema can't recruit and the assumption that a defensive coach by trade will install the Wisconsin style offense that he inherited @ Arkansas is unfounded.
