Rumors of Bobby Wallace being the new Head Coach at UNA is NOT TRUE. UNA will set up a search committee next week to begin the process.

Who was the coach at UNA when they were put on probation?

Here's an article from todays Times Daily.

Not sure how UNA can NOT hire Wallace if he wants the job. And I didn't realize he was in his early 30s when he was winning type championships.
He would be the perfect guy imo. He's loyal, so you know he's not just trying to build his resume to land a bigger job, he has d1 experience which would be helpful during the transition, and not worried about losing games in what will likely be some lean years when they make the move to D1.
Very unusual to see a coach put it all out there like this in the press letting it be known that he wants a job. Not sure how the Athletic Department will like being put on the spot like that.

Heard from someone who heard from someone that should know that Wallace got the job. Not sure if my source is the same one that leaked it to the media or not.

Yeah I would want to move to Florence from Gulf Shores

I can't imagine him not getting it. They probably just have to wait until the job posting comes down to announce it.

Have you ever even been to Florence? The areas on the lake are very, very nice. It is definitely more of a conservative, retirement community, but it is one of the nicer areas you could live as far as scenery if your in rivers/lakes/boating/fishing.
I would put some of the lake houses here up against homes anywhere.

Latest rumors:
AD and influential booster(s) disagree on the right candidate. Looks like the influential booster(s) will win and Bobby Wallace will get announced today or tomorrow.

Yep, it was posted on UNA's facebook page that Wallace was hired.

Looks like my source was legit. I thought he was, but wasn't 100% sure.

Tater Tot has 2 warrants out for his arrests due to traffic violations this past Summer in Florence.
