CNS is not going back to LSU, at least not for few more years anyway. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS YEAR!!!!!

If not this year it will never happen.

But...but...I did.
I'm sorry. It wasn't Pete Carroll. My source now tells me it's Mike Ditka.

Of course, I really don't think Nick is coming back to LSU, but for hypothetical purposes, what if he does leave Bama...who does Bama go after?
Although I'm clearly in the "No to the WVMD" camp, I couldn't possibly care less on valium.

Now that I could get behind.

Bama gets dropped from the conference.....

I would love to see that guy fall flat on his face in the SEC.

I said I couldn't care less, but I was wrong, sorry Chicken.
Moore has made it clear that he will stoop to any low, and spend any amount of money possible to get the biggest "Name" coach that he can. Having said that, IF the unthinkable (WVMD returns to LSU) happens, then I think he offers Spurrier, Cowher, Del Rio, WHOEVER will take the money and has the name. I wouldn't put it past him to offer Petrino, Schiano, Pete Carroll, or any of Sexton's clients who will listen. As long as the coach has a name that will satisfy the Bama masses....
(I wonder, realistically, if Moore would survive, professionally, if the unthinkable happened-- Bama might have to hire a new AD before a Head Football Coach.)

Do you think some Bama administrators (and fans) would be happy if he left knowing that they wouldn't have to pay $4 million for a coach who might not be able to do for them what he did for LSU?

Hmmm..let's see, not including the standard mega-coaches,(SOS, etc) my short list would include Jim Leavitt, Paul Johnson, maybe Mike Leach if he hires a DC, perhaps Mike Riley.
Coordinators to consider: Kevin Sumlin, Norm Chow, maybe Kevin Steele.
Just a quick list. I'm sure there are candidates to be found. Its the SEC.

DvlsAdvocat, it is the SEC and it is Bama...I don't think it would destroy your program like some suggest. It actually might be better...it appears that Saban's past success with LSU has caused Bama fans to have expectations that can't be met.

Some of my many Auburn friends have been texting me all day about Saban to LSU, to see if I'm worried. Of course, nobody wants to lose their coach (maybe some here do, but thats not the norm)but I would seriously be worried about losing out on a stellar recruiting class that seems to be lining up. We need quality depth, quickly.

While I know that Greg Schiano is not leaving Rutgers for any program that isn't named PSU, I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned him.
Considering what he has done at Rutgers, with no recruiting base to work with, I can't even imagine the type of results he could get. The only issue is... can a guy from New Jersey recruit in Alabama?

I thought about mentioning Schiano, he fell between the mega-coaches and the up and comers.

I dunno. If Saban leaves 4Mil and no buyout to go somewhere else for 3Mil and a 10Mil buyout, I bet it'd make a LOT of coaches think twice about taking any amount of money from Bama.

Why would we take him back? Screw Him.
Plus there are much better coaches out there...
He’s good at recruiting I’ll give him that, but not the best.
