"I brought it up and asked him if he was really going to Michigan," Edwards told the Monroe News Star. "He said, 'Tyler, to tell you the truth, I plan to stay here for many years. I love it here. I love the town. I love the coaches. If you came here, I'd be your only coach.'"

(Miles' response when asked by a recruit he is going after)

Ya'll still hellbent that he is 100% out already. I don't see him flat-out lying to a highschool KID. Maybe from a former coach of ours, no names though (cough cough). Sorry if already been posted, I did a quick search but didn't find anything.

Any thoughts?

What would you expect him to say "Yep, I'm leaving but don't tell anyone and by the way, why don't you go to LSU anyway? I'm sure they pick a good coach"!

But to a high school senior about to make a huge decision based on a coach's response? I may have the wool pulled over my eyes, but thats just hard to believe about Miles.

If he is honest, say he is not sure what is going to happen. I wouldn't just flat out lie to a kid like that.

He is recruiting for LSU.....what else would you want him to say?

He could not and would not be able to tell any of the HS kids his FUTURE plans....it would be ALL over Rivals and Scout if he did.

He is selling LSU to TE.......

Ok. Well I'm starting see it a little bit more. I understand what ya'll are saying, I just found it hard to see him lying to that kid even if he knew for sure he would not be here next year. He didn't have to tell him his future plans, just dance around it like he has been doing to us for a month or so.

if their was only one coach in the country who lied, it'd be bad...

but if all the coaches lie it works out in the wash!
