A little melt, but Riley has hit his ceiling at OU and he should realize that.

In the Big 12, with OU, he was competing for a conference championship every year with a chance at the playoff.
In the SEC, with OU, he’ll be competing for a pod/division title every year with a chance at the conference championship. Big difference.
I’m not saying OU won’t be competitive in the SEC, they likely will; but, they won’t dominate the conference like they have the last decade. They will probably average 3 losses per year and have to hang their hopes on an expanded playoff to have a shot.
Also, I don’t know why it’s a forgone conclusion recruiting will get even better for them once they join the SEC. They’ll still be competing with Texas A&M and Texas for regional talent. Plus OSU will be dominating the remaining Big 12 and will present some competition for in-state guys. They’ll still have to compete with the same blue bloods for national talent. If OU comes into the SEC and loses 3 games per year, they could actually regress in recruiting.
OU should take a lesson from A&M, the grass isn’t always greener.
Ok I’m done.

A&M is a bad comp, they’ve thrived since leaving the Big Tex

Doesn't bother me a bit he's not coming here.
With overwhelming talent, he still struggles vs B12 competition.
