however, two or three, i don't have a problem with. if this is miles request to stay, then see if michigan will be happy with 8 win seasons. Didn't rich rod just get fired for 7? one game is that big of difference?

again, i've been in miles corner. however, i didn't like the contract. didn't feel like it protected the program.

he nor nick saban are the only coaches who can have success at lsu. we shouldn't be desperate and believe in the program.

he deserves a raise, maybe a fixed five year deal. if a 8 win roll over is the sticking point, then bye bye.

Sounds like LES doesn't have much confidence in himself with this request.

8 wins in a 13 game set isnt good enough in this day and time. if we only played 11 games with bowl then fine but 12 games and a bowl means 8 wins equals 5 losses........

8 wins today means you have a 500 or below 500 record in your conference. not acceptable for more than one season.

Let's not forget the Hallman, DiNardo, Archer years so quickly.

If you sat in Tiger Stadium for those years, you might tend to appreciate any winning season.

We have 2 BCSNC trophies since 2003. HARD to top that one.

It's all negotiation. He did not get fired after one, improved the next two season and now is in a position to get more garanteed money.

If we ever return to that type of era having seen what can happen when LA football talent is reasonably taken advantage of, everyone in the AD department should be fired and then beaten with rubber hoses, IMO.

There is no reason LSU shouldnt be in contention at least every few years.

no i do not. however, and i've been a supporter of his, if he feels it's acceptable to get a raise and guarantee with going 3-5 in the conference and 8-5 over all, then this request is not reasonable.

i understand his feelings were hurt because we didn't roll him over after that season. he didn't get fired after that season either. it's ok every now and then, however, if he didn't think it was fair to turn up the heat after a 500 s.e.c. record over two years, then he isn't the competitor i thought he was.

i don't want the program to be in a position that if he isn't able to produce, we are held hostage by a one sided contract.

people didn't see mack brown going 5-8 this year nor urban meyer going 8-5. no one should be fired hastely after an anomoly season like that. however, multiple season's, you deserve some pressure.
