Names were discussed by the media, but Alleva didn't pursue anyone but Herman. O came to him, so there was no pursuit needed. He walked away from negotiations with Jimbo/Sexton because he's a fricking pussy.

Sad thing is that there was no real timeline to get a new head coach. We could have easily just started the process over with a new list of candidates. Coach O was not being pursed as a head coach by any other schools. If he would have walked, I'm not even sure he gets aninterview for a head coaching gig at a mid major school. It really is sad what LSU football has become under our current administration.
