What are the board’s thoughts on The Expanse book series.
I don’t know if I’ve seen it mentioned in the sci fi threads.
I’m 3 books in and have enjoyed it so far.

I have enjoyed them all - but two of them less than the others. I would be hard pressed to pick my favorite out.
Overall its a good series - and in many ways its well planned and thought out.

Is the series of books completed? Or are more still waiting to be written?

Still going, eighth book will be out in early 2019. I think I read it's supposed to be 9 books total, but not 100% on that. Very good sci fi series though, I've enjoyed all of the books a great deal.

As others have said - still 2 more to go. But unlike a lot of other series, they come out timely.
I would suspect you will see additional series or at least some stand-alone/prequel/sequel novels to the main universe.

Understandable, and one of the two authors that writes the expanse novels was actually GRRM's personal assistant for a long time.
But they have put soon to be 8 novels out every year to year and a half since 2011 (when Dance came out), and the other coauthor of the series Daniel Abraham also has finished another pretty good 5 book fantasy series (Dagger and Coin) during that same time frame, he has a history of finishing series in a timely fashion.
