The Body by Bill BrysonPosted by Plague on Wheels on 5/15/20 at 10:26 am

Currently listening to the audiobook, and despite seeing some earlier critiques I like it so far.
Bryson's voice is slow, but I've found I can increase the play speed a bit and it's more enjoyable.
Check it out if you like non-fiction science/ health, or just Bryson's style in general.

I think I've read some of his stuff before and was a fan. I'll have to check this out.

Yeah, if you liked his other stuff, like A Short History, I think you'll enjoy it.

Bryson has a lot of great books,
A walk in the woods
In a sunburnt country
Be only 2

I have read several of his books. I enjoyed them. They are short, easy reads. I like his humorous travel journals such as Neither Here Nor There and Notes From a Small Island.

I thought it was a really good read. If you like that one, I’d also recommend Lifespan by David Sinclair. Very interesting read about aging and the fight to stop (or at least drastically slow) it.

Haven't read it, though I have read and liked some other Brysons: His two books on language, The Mother Tongue and Made In America; 1927, and At Home.

I think The Body compares favorably to the style of At Home.
But you tell me.
