Anyone picked it up yet? Just finished my reread of Iron Gold and about to jump into the new book.

Iron Gold holds up even better on a second read IMO. I forgot how much shite went down and where we left things. Pierce Brown is really good at creating such good, well-rounded characters. I forgot how much I liked Romulous, Diomedes, and Dido.

Will post thoughts on Dark Age once I finish it.

I'm about a third of the way through my listen.

So far I'm really liking it. The pacing and the way he's breaking up the POV chapter order is great IMO.

ETA: For the audiobookers.

Narrators:
Darrow/TGR is still GOAT
Ephraim is the same guy. He's solid and has actually grown on me.
I really like Mustang's reader
Lyria: I've only had one chapter of the new girl so TBD
Lysander at first I didn't like him at all (and I didn't really like the last one either) but he's grown on me as the book goes on.

Damn. I didn't realize this was out. I intended to reread the series before the 5th came out. I could hardly put these books down.

Love the series. I'm a few hours in to the Dark Age audiobook now and it's been great so far.

Just finished part 1 of the book, no spoilers but it felt like the payoff at the end of a novel given the pacing and what occurred.

I’m really liking it so far. Am in the middle of the battle on Mercury. About 4 hrs in on my audible.

Anymore updates anyone? I’ve been busy and have only gotten through the first 50 or so pages and it’s killing me

I'm approaching the end of part 3.

Shits starting to get real.

There were a few recent chapters that were very "WTF" unexpected (but in a good way).

I'm looking forward to everyone in here finishing and having a spoiler thread. There's a lot to talk about in this book. And I'm sure more is coming.

I finished a few days ago. I liked it better than Iron Gold.

Wait, it’s more than three books? I thought it was a trilogy. This makes me happy to hear!

There's a 2nd trilogy. It takes place 10 years after The Rising, and there are multiple POV characters.

The 2nd of the new trilogy just released.

I finished a few days ago. This audiobook was great and I didn’t mind the change in voice actors, as long as they keep Tim Reynolds for Darrow. I was pleasantly surprised and shocked at some parts of the story. As a parent, some parts were cringe worthy. i might listen again after i finish the new Larry Correa book. I want to talk about spoilers soon, so get to reading/listening the story my Goodman.

Without spoilers how much do you guys recommend I re-read before picking up this book? Is there some exposition in there so that I can recall who and where everything is or should I give Iron Gold a re-read first?

I think you'd be fine if you didn't re-read. The characters are all interconnected so they're constantly mentioning each other.

Personally I always like to re-read but I think you'd be okay.

Just finished part 1. As noted earlier, it felt like it could have been its own book with conclusion. Bloodygood!
