It does get better. The original three are terrific with Wizard and Glass being one of my favorite King books because it shows a young Roland and his friends. He took a lot of time off between book four and the final three. I feel his writing style changed as he got older and was very close to dying after the car accident but they are still terrific reads. Piecing together all the little threads from his other books to paint the full picture of Roland's world and story are also terrific. Have fun with them.

I'm halfway through book 2. Pretty awesome is far. I don't see a big drop off at all. King's description of people sharing bodies is fantastic. The guy is such a good writer.

Me too. Also, I love how he describes all of the gangsters that Eddie is dealing with, and the dichotomy between Balazar's temperament and his card houses. To go into such brilliant detail about secondary and tertiary characters like that is why King is the man.

Wizard and Glass is one of the best books I have ever read.
