Just re”listened” to the book and saw some of Frank herbet’s comments and they’re pretty insightful. He is mocking society for their need to follow “charismatic” leaders instead of acting as individuals.

It starts with the Simple Fremen but at the end, Paul is wondering if even Gurney Halleck is a “creature” under his cult.

And of course, the cult of personality overpowers Paul despite all of his powers.

Eh, it's not really a satire as much as just a realistic portrayal of how the world works. There is no real humor or irony being used in the majority of that series.

Satire may not be the best word, but I do think there is a subversive nature to the book.

It's not satire.
