Books on the Great Depression

What are a couple of good historical books about the GD? Obviously most are going to focus on the USA and I'm interested in that too but are that any that you guys have read that also talk about its effects on the rest of the world and Europe in particular and how it aided Hitler's rise to power?

Hard Times by Studs Terkel.

Studs Terkel interviews the common man/woman. They explain how they dealt with the Great Depression.

Very quick read and interesting perspective.
