What's the board's thoughts on this Science Fiction series? I just started book 3 of 4. I have enjoyed the references and the nerd humor quite a bit. I am listening on Audible because the narrator is Ray Porter. He is one of my favorite audiobook narrators second to only Jim Dale I believe.

It's a super fun series. The original trilogy in particular I thought was really strong. The fourth book was still good, but was missing a little something. Though that could be partially due to there being a large time gap between me reading the 3rdband 4th books, and the various Bob's having kinda blended together after that much time.

The fourth was just ok. i didn’t find the upright beaver plot to be as interesting as the previous books.

I think Bill is the most level headed. Riker has grown on me. I am about 3/4 done with the 3rd.

Great series, agree about the 4th book not being as strong. Probably doesn’t know where to take the series after the ending of the third book. Would like to see more books in the future.
