Anybody read new westerns?

I'm wondering if there is anyone that is comparable to Louis Lamour. My dad has read every western ever written by Lamour and I'd like to find him some new books that he would enjoy.

I like James D. Best's western series featuring character Steve Dancy. It's not a cattle-drive type western but does have a bit of the fight against the cattle/mine/RR baron the runs a town with a ruthless fist western.
