Anybody ever tackled The Romance of the Three Kingdoms?

Is it worth it?

Been trying to rotate between fiction and non fiction/history. Just finished the three body trilogy and looking to switch back to some more historical stuff. Was thinking either Shelby foote’s civil war series or RotTK. Both are very daunting but I understand the latter is even more so due to the tons of characters and story lines and it being eastern history and translated. Was just wondering if it was worth the time it’s going to take to finish and what the best versions are.
