Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer is pushing to return this week for the Texas game on Saturday, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Mateer had surgery on his throwing hand two weeks ago.
Kickoff between No. 6 Oklahoma and Texas is at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
