He’s so brilliant, he’s letting everyone know what he’s doing before the event and is going to lose his edge. It would have been a lot smarter to publicize this after winning a sizable wager.

People have done this all the time. Doesn’t matter what they do in practice. It’s always different if it’s live and not prerecorded. I’ve read all kinds of bad beat gambling stories of guys who’ve had inside scoops on the anthem and then when it comes time for the real thing it’s always different. You never know how adrenaline is gonna effect the singer. Sometimes they hold the notes a little longer or shorter. Makes all the difference in the end. Also, the hardest prop bet out there in my opinion.
