At Monday night's fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Tim Tebow was asked about the suicide of retired NFL star Junior Seau. He said...
quote:

"So many young athletes like myself looked up to him and watched him." said Tebow.

"I met him one day after he came to the Florida-Georgia game when he played then and just had the best time with him afterwards and I'm just extremely sad for him and his family and wish him support and I know I'll be praying for him."

They wanted Tebow to say the obvious "People who commit suicide don't go to Heaven". Tebow took the high road. He instead showed remorse for a bad situation, and condolences for a grieving family. The guy is a classy person, no matter how many people hate him.

People are really bitching about this? Tebow is a rock god. He's already on America's top 10 celebrity list. People want to read what he has to say. Deal with it.

About 50 other NFL athletes commented on Junior Seau who actually played with him and knew him for more than 3 hours but they aren't posted here.

It's news because Tebow is an NFL athlete and he's commenting on his experiences with the late Junior Seau.
