The NFL will kick off its season on Wednesday, Sept. 5 instead of the traditional Thursday night with the Super Bowl-champion New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. The move was made to avoid a conflict with a scheduled Presidential address on Sept. 6 from the Democratic National Convention. The Giants opponent has yet to be determined.
