The Houston Texans’ defensive coordinator Wade Phillips didn't like what he heard when he listened to the audio recording of Gregg Williams’ 49ers pre-game speech to his Saints' defense. Phillips told Sports Radio 610 in Houston...
quote:

“It made me sick. I just don’t believe in that. It’s something completely against what I believe in. I knew it wasn’t right certainly and I think that’s where you go. I’ve been around the NFL for 36 years. We’ve never talked about that and hurting another player.

“That’s not true,” Phillips said. “I’ve never done it, and I’ve never been around a team that did it.”
You think Wade is telling the truth or kissing butt?

Phillips should have been giving his team pep talks instead of hanging out at the locker room buffet.

Wade's an idiot. Countless player have come out saying this crap goes on all the time--Saints just got caught at the wrong time, and by a Benedict Arnold cameraman.

I think he is just saying the right things to keep the NFL's integrity intact. I can believe that HE has never been involved but as much as this type of talk exists throughout the NFL it is hard to believe him.

i believe Wade - it’s a violent enough game without the kind of idiot talk that was heard on that tape.
