This is pretty cool. MODE Blog’s Benn Stancil used information from ESPN to create a map that shows where all of today’s 25,000 Division-I college football players come from. Looks like Dade County, FL, Harris County, TX and Los Angeles County, CA are the three hot spots that produce the most talent per capita.

Well, this map certainly explains why UK has such a shitty football program. Compared to the other SEC states, especially those with similar population numbers such as South Carolina, there's little interest in football. I'd love to see a similar map for basketball.
