QB Josh Rosen's Ex-Coach Jim Mora Telling Browns To Draft Sam Darnold
Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports
Former UCLA coach Jim Mora was QB Josh Rosen's coach for three seasons. So you'd think he'd be campaigning for his dude to be the number one pick? No. Mora's out here telling the Cleveland Browns to pick USC QB Sam Darnold...
quote:

“Because of fit, I would take Sam Darnold if I were the Cleveland Browns,” Mora said Monday on NFL Network. “I think [he has] that blue-collar, gritty attitude. I think his teammates will love him. I think the city will love him. He’ll say the right things. He’ll come in and represent well. I think he kind of represents what Cleveland is. And then if I was one of the New York teams, I’d take Josh like that. I think they’re both going to be great pros.”
Hmm...save it Jim, save it...
quote:

“I think some day hopefully we’re talking about the Peyton Manning-Tom Brady debate,” Mora said. “Which one’s better? I think both of those guys can be those types of guys.”
There ya go.

So a guy who’s trying to overcome character issues hangs up on someone then brags about it to the media. Baker is dumb as shite.

Him telling Cleveland to take Darnold is the nicest thing he could have ever done for Rosen

Sounds like a solid assessment. Im sure there arent many coaches that have studied both qbs as much as Mora has. He gets the importance of how a qb needs to fit the city just as much as the team. Larry...stick to your opinions on future insta-whores.

Sam Darnold can throw in shorts and a t-shirt in 80 degree southern CA rain. That guy just oozes blue collar and toughness.

If anything he is trying to save the kid from going to Cleveland. I would be thanking him if I were Rosen.

Looks like he didn’t want his guy ending up in Cleveland.
