Here's Bruce Pearl's Latest Comment On The Missed Double-Dribble From Saturday
© Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports
While ESPN’s "Get Up!" on Monday, Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl addressed his team’s controversial loss to the Cavaliers...
quote:

“The biggest point I want to make and I’m sincere in this, I’m not just saying this because it’s politically the right thing to say. There is human error involved in the game. Kids make mistakes, coaches make mistakes. Yes, officials will make mistakes. That’s part of the game. Get over it,” he said on ESPN.

“Sometimes they’re going to go your way, sometimes they’re not going to go your way. Are we going to give God less glory because we lost and … only because we win? Stop. Grow up, this is part of the game. These kids taught us I think, in many, many ways how to handle defeat. And that’s a difficult thing to do for these young kids. And I’m proud of them.”

I am still trying to figure out why not one AU coach or player noticed the double dribble (and even the announcers) real time.. It was obvious, I was yelling double dribble immediately.. If they point it out real time, there is 0% chance the foul is called at the end.. This was just as egregious as the Saints Non-PI called, but the difference is the Saints call was noticed/argued in real time.. this is getting pushed to the side because inexplicably no one from AU and no announcer caught it somehow when it happened.

There were three travels by Virginia. Two happened in first few minutes. Not called. You need tv announcer and I noticed the third one, at the end. I yelled out to my housemate who was oblivious, doing her business with headset on.

Had a word substituted by my Android. Sneaky devil. one announcer noticed the last one. I long for refs to call steps. Guys who catch on the move don't even put the ball down until they are walking.

CelticDog, tells us more about your housemate doing her business with headsets on. Pics would be nice too.
