According to NBA deputy commissioner Adam Silver, sponsorships will likely appear on NBA jerseys by the 2013-2014 seasons. This idea has been thrown around for a while now, but has not yet been enacted. The NBA will become the first major North American sports league to have advertisements on their jerseys.

So lame. I also wonder how that effects individual endorsement deals. You think this will really happen?

First major North American sports league to have ads on their jerseys? MLS has had sponsors on their jerseys for years now. And don't try to say it's not a major league. The MLS has better attendance figures than the NBA.
