Kobe Bryant Shares The 2 Colleges That Recruited Him The Hardest, Duke and Kansas
Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Kobe Bryant is one of the rare success stories of a basketball player skipping college and going straight to the NBA. He was recruited heavily by a lot of schools, but has revealed the two schools that came after him the hardest. Per 247Sports...

“Um, well here’s the story about that,” Bryant said. “Coach K kept recruiting me. He kept recruiting me. He didn’t just resign to the fact that I’m going to go pro. He was persistent about it. So at that moment in time, for me to make a decision and say, ‘OK, you know what? I’m not going to go pro,’ it would have been Duke because Coach K just kept on keeping on. Roy Williams did, too, when he was at Kansas.”

His dad coached at LaSalle. I am almost positive he gave them a "commitment" because Jelly Bean (Kobe's pop) was an assistant there, but everyone knew he was going pro.

It would have been a cupcake move to choose either of these schools for Kobe.
