I had a kid on my little league team a few years ago that was a master at this. Just really aware of what was going on around him on the field. I remember coaching in the 3rd base coaches box and the kid just "showing up" after he just reached first. Kids who are aware can do this like crazy in little league bc kid's have such a short attention span.
