Kateri Poole Is No Longer With The Team, Kim Mulkey Says

LSU Women's Basketball coach Kim Mulkey announced Sunday that Kateri Poole is no longer with the team. Mulkey did not elaborate on Poole's situation. Per ESPN:

The 5-foot-8 junior guard appeared in four games this season for the No. 7 Tigers. She did not play on Nov. 14 against Kent State due to a "coach's decision," saw the floor for a mere five minutes the next game against Southeastern Louisiana, and was last on the bench with LSU against Texas Southern, though she did not take the floor that day.

"She's no longer with us," Mulkey told reporters Sunday after the Tigers' 83-53 win over Louisiana. Mulkey would not comment on whether Poole's departure was a dismissal or mutual parting of ways.

Perhaps not a huge loss but a loss nonetheless. She could have been a useful defensive and backcourt depth piece. But if she was a locker room issue I could understand Kim's decision.

Nope. Was trying to get players to tank when HVL was on the floor and she was riding the pine at the PG position. Heard she was a total punt. Kim HAS NOT LOST CONTROL OF THIS TEAM
