LSU five-star freshman offensive lineman Carius Curne played right tackle with the first-team during practice on Monday.

Curne, a 6-5, 320-pound lineman from Hughes, Ark., has taken a lot of reps at guard and worked at left tackle with the second team in previous practices.

Redshirt freshman Weston Davis was the second-team left tackle during practice.

Brian Kelly previously stated that Tyree Adams is shaping up to be the starting left tackle, and Braelin Moore is expected to start at center.

That leaves DJ Chester, Josh Thompson, and Curne to compete for the two guard spots, while Curne and Davis are in the mix to start at right tackle.

Biggest question of the year is the OL.

Very rarely do unproven OL gel and this team's OL has been a weak point previously. It is the most important position outside of QB, depending on how good your QB is. I don't see the O line being championship level this year.

Honestly, I'll take an unknown at this point. This time last year, we were supposed to have on of the top OL in the country and it's like they forgot to practice run blocking.

I hope his slow start was just because it was a drill. A quick twitch DE would be on his backside before his first movement during that drill.

He looks like a guard all the way.

Curse is a freak. Few OL have his measurables.
