LSU offensive guard Paul Mubenga is listed as doubtful for the South Carolina game on Saturday after suffering a high ankle injury vs. Ole Miss two weeks ago.

With Mubenga likely out vs. the Gamecocks, head coach Brian Kelly said that redshirt freshman Coen Echols and true freshman Carius Curne are the backup options.
quote:

"Well right now, Coen Echols has taken most of the reps there when Paul hasn't been in," Kelly said. "We have a lot of confidence in him. Carius Curne is repping there as well. We'll kind of see how that goes.:

"If Paul can't go, and he's doubtful at this point, that will be the two-man rotation. And if we think Coen is handling it, we'll see how that goes Saturday, but we have repped them both and they are both ready to play."

Curne is too big, mean, strong, and talented not to be in there. He will make some mistakes, but so what. He has the most upside.

Get the feeling Curne gets in at some point and that basically puts the LG rotation to bed the rest of the season.

Curne probably should have started day 1 tbh

He also said curne isn't a right tackle. And he's a guard. So let's get him in at left or right. Thompson will take the other spot and echols can rotate

They obviously can't make up their minds. Too many options and not enough concrete decisions.

If you “have two quarterbacks” you don’t have a starting quarterback. If you have 7-8 offensive linemen, you don’t have a strong starting 5.

You’d be screaming at the sky if LSU didn’t have depth. There’s really no winning with you people.

True. So just develop five OL, and forget about the rest. Go back to bed ThomasShelby, you need rest.
