In the final question of Les Miles' press conference on Monday, coach was asked if true freshman linebacker Clifton Garrett would redshirt this season?

Miles somewhat danced around that question and pretty much said that he's not ready to make that decision just yet.

The standout linebacker from Plainfield, IL was rated as a five-star linebacker in high school.

Not true. That's only if he gets injured.

According to the participation chart, he's played in 2 games. I believe it's too late for a redshirt.

It's a certain amount of time or plays you have to be under in order to redshirt. He could have been on the field and still redshirt later. Once you redshirt him that's it though. Not sure, but I think that's the gist of it.

Look I saw him with my own eyes on the field and someone has posted pictures. I don't understand why people keep saying he hasn't played. Does he have to take a snap on offense or defense for it to actually count?

I'd like to see what he could do on the field. Maybe start Debo over Louis and let Garrett get some playtime behind Beckwith.

He has played on Special teams...the photo has been on 247.

Once you play, isn't that it?

Just play him and see what happens. He can't be any worse than anyone not named Kwon.
