Crystal LoGiudice-USA TODAY Sports
According to the writers at NFL's CFB 24/7, the top 4 all-time NFL players from LSU are fullback Jim Taylor, offensive guard Alan Faneca, quarterback Y.A. Tittle, and running back Steve Van Buren.

quote:

Why those four? Taylor was a part of four of the five Packers teams that won championships in the 1960s. A romping, stomping fullback for Vince Lombardi's power-sweeping Packers teams, Taylor won the rushing title in 1962, the only year in which Jim Brown didn't lead the league in rushing during his legendary nine-year career. ... Known by many as being the subject of one of the most memorable sports photographs in American history, Tittle was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection. ... Van Buren -- the first first-round draft selection out of LSU -- was a four-time NFL rushing leader and the first running back to achieve three consecutive rushing titles. Van Buren was a central figure in the Philadelphia Eagles' 1948 NFL Championship win in a blizzard. ... Faneca played for 13 seasons in the trenches, and earned nine Pro Bowl nods in the process. He was also selected to the NFL's 2000s all-decade team.

If we are talking just football, then it's Miles, McClendon, Dietzel, and Cannon.

anyone old enough to remember the LSU-Tulane game when Taylor kicked the ball over Petibon's head, LSU drew a penalty moving the ball near or into the endzone(IDR), Petibon move back a ways, and then Taylor kicked the ball over his head again. That man was a hellava kicker.

All sports inc. 1 Pistol Pete a living legend before he even started. Freshman PRACTICE outsold the varsity. He sold out more arenas than the Beatles 2 Todd Walker Started at the top and kept rising. 3 Bert Jones Had he had a modern coach that passed He would have been Heisman ez 4 Tommy Cassanova was the original TM7

I liked the way CBSsports did Auburn's Mt Rushmore. Basing it off what they did in college.

This is not an LSU mount Rushmore , this is a mount Rushmore of LSU players who excelled in the NFL.

Flawed rankings. Don't care about their NFL career. Only care about what they did wearing the P&G.

This consideration needs to be clarified to even make sense. Van Buren based off LSU football halfback statistics which is why he is a Hall of Famer wouldn't be in Top 10-20 in History of LSU backs. So I wouldn't ever consider him.

To clarify what I meant abouve . He is is HOF based off being a Halfback in the League. Wasn't even used as a running back to Sr. Yr. At LSU.
