On Monday, head coach Ed Orgeron was asked about how LSU's new offense has helped on the recruiting trail...

Q. Coach, we know in the summer Burrow talked about scoring 40, 50, and 60 points. You all hit all those numbers. With recruiting -- and I know you talked about it leading up to the Texas game -- is there any story you could relay about some of the recruits, their excitement level now that they've seen it, not only one week against Georgia Southern, but big time opponents there. 19 kids have caught a pass for you this year. That broke a school record.

ED ORGERON: So here's me texting a skill player. You ready? Hey, this is Coach O, can you call me? Bing, hello! As opposed to, Hey, this is Coach O, can you call me? No answer. There's high interest, and guys are being noticed. Especially being on ESPN Gameday, being a national TV game like that and having a quarterback doing what he's doing, there's high interest across the country in our offense and coming to play for the Tigers. There was always high interest. Now that we're playing even great offense, there's even higher interest.

Farmer Fran knows how to convey a message. This is the CEO that I envisioned. Glad the man can evolve and let his coordinators coach. CEO is doing an excellent job with the program, and I have a feeling that he'll figure out how to get us dominant on Def again as well.

Let’s recruit La for dline, dbs, receivers, and rb’s, Midwest for Oline, and Ohio for qbs

Midwest does not produce as many O-linemen as the South. That's a myth created by the image and press of the Midwest O-linemen. Look at the last 10 NFL drafts. More O-linemen from South and West than Midwest. However the image of the Nebraska, Wisconsin and Minnesota O-linemen is more appealing to many LSU fans who perpetuate that myth of the great Midwest O-lineman..

Ohio for QBs? I would think Texas, Georgia or California for QBs.

I love it...but we have been getting 4 and 5 * WRs and QBs regardless of our offense. I dont think anyone can name 1 year where we didn’t have numerous NFL quality WRs. And we’ve always had at least 1 or 2 4*+ QBs...they just weren’t developed. I want those returned calls from big time Olinemen.
