LSU remains at No. 5 in the latest SEC Power Rankings from ESPN.

For the third straight week, there have not been any changes to the top five of the power rankings.
quote:

5. LSU (6-2): The Tigers have seemingly righted the ship, winning three in a row, the latest a 40-24 win at Ole Miss. They're idle this week ahead of a key tilt with Alabama.
1. Alabama (8-0)
2. Georgia (7-0)
3. Auburn (6-2)
4. Texas A&M (5-2)
5. LSU (6-2)
6. South Carolina (5-2)
7. Mississippi State (5-2)
8. Florida (3-3)
9. Kentucky (5-2)
10. Vanderbilt (3-4)
11. Ole Miss (3-4)
12. Arkansas (2-4)
13. Tennessee (3-4)
14. Missouri (2-5)

IDGAF about SEC "power rankings" but we have the same record as AU with a head to head win........and one more victory than faggy. Sooooooooo pardon me if we dismiss your assessment

True dat! And A&M should never be ranked ahead of the Tigers with Chavis running the defense. But, we play them later and after we beat Bama next week, there will be no denying the “Eye Of The Tiger!”

So according to your logic, MSU should be ahead of us, right?

MSU has gotten dominated by Auburn and Georgia within their last 3 games by a total of about 10 touchdowns. So no. We have the same record as Auburn and 1 more win than MSU and much more recent success. I mean I guess if you completely discount the last 3 games then the rankings are correct, but that's a typical ESPN bullshite, biased way to do things

That home loss to Troy and the blowout from Moo state is really killing us this year. Who would have thought that those would be the losses on our schedule as of now....

Blee dat... If you told me we were 6-2 at the bye I would not have had us losing to either of those teams.

Exactly, but these power rankings usually fluctuate more than polls to reflect recent games. Right now LSU playing better than anyone but Bama & UGA.
