LSU senior defensive end Jarell Cherry and redshirt junior offensive lineman Thomas Perry were not listed on LSU's updated roster which was released this week.

Cherry, a former four-star prospect from Dallas, Texas, signed with LSU in 2018 as the No. 13 overall player from the state of Texas. He appeared in just 11 games during his LSU career.

Perry signed with LSU in 2019 as a three-star interior offensive lineman from Teurlings Catholic in Lafayette, La. He played in just two games with the Tigers.

Both Cherry and Perry have dealt with injuries during their time at LSU.

What class of human would post,” Perry is a White gentleman.Negative=Black,” on an LSU fan site?

"I remember when Cherry signed. I think it was 1999." Yep. The year before Todd Harris...

I spoke w his dad a few weeks back. He's been fighting an injury that ended up needing surgery. Future was unsure from what he shared. It's his kid and all he was concerned about was him being healthy. Perry was absolutely impressive and without setbacks, would have ended up a starter, IMO Great kid, great family, Tigers for life!

I remember when Thomas Perry was a freshman, Coach O was impressed with him. Ashamed it didn’t work out better!

Whoever O was impressed with somehow turned out to be untrue. I now wonder if that was his way of encouraging players. More "wishful thinking" than reality.
