Tuesday Practice Report: Three Key Tigers Missing, Guice & Lawerence Practice In Full Pads

LSU offensive tackle Toby Weathersby, running back Darrel Williams, and defensive back Xavier Lewis all missed practice on Tuesday.

Running back Derrius Guice and defensive end Rashard Lawerence were both present on Tuesday and practiced in full pads.

Safety John Battle, linebacker Corey Thompson, f-back JD Moore, tight end Caleb Roddy, and offensive tackle Ed Ingram practiced in gold non-contact jerseys.

JaCoby Stevens transition back to defense continued as the freshman was working with safety's again on Tuesday.

I think a road game is just what this team needs. Win or lose, getting away from all the negativity in BR can’t hurt.

Delpit has been solid in pass defense but terrible in run support. Hopefully JaCoby can improve that position.

Yeah it is poor that the #1 Safety in the Country last year was doing a bunch of Jack of all Trades. We needed a hard hitting Strong Safety at the beginning of Spring practice, Fall practice, and for the next game. He will help in run support and his speed, size, football IQ, etc... This will free up Delpit to do what he is best at. Provide coverage, use that speed, height, and wingspan to start intercepting lots of passess. I am looking forward to this change...
