NFL.com writer Bryan Fischer put LSU vs. Alabama at No. 15 in his "15 for '15: College football's best rivalries" article:
quote:

15. Alabama-LSU
Series history: First meeting in 1895. Alabama leads series, 49-25-5.
There's no catchy name or fancy rivalry trophy, but make no mistake -- this is a bitter rivalry and the stakes are often extremely high. The schools are two of the most successful programs in the SEC and the divisional matchup has been hotly contested, particularly in the past decade. Things have been pretty even in the series since Bear Bryant retired as coach of the Crimson Tide, and the teams have even met in a national title game, which added even more fuel to the fire.

BYU - Utah at no. 6???? Please. And how is Oregon-Oregon State even on the list. Yea, the two schools are in the same state and play each other, but that's about it.
